Group Portrait: Jason and Box IT Interns

After the process of photographing our entire team, I ended up being asked to photograph my manager and all of our IT interns in one photo. Ok that's already a decent challenge, but I already had a few ideas on locations around the office. After scoping a few out, I scheduled time on everyone's calendar and finished prep for the shoot. I was incredibly grateful to Jason and all of our interns for their patience while I tried to position them all successfully. Definitely reminded me of the challenges of group photography that I had seen my mentors Joe & JP Elario do countless times for their wedding photography business in Albany, NY.

To start things off I found a few indoor spots that had interesting Box culture aspects...

I tried to get everyone to loosen up and carry out individual conversations while I had Jason as my focal point of the photo.

I think some took the cue to be goofy a bit too seriously :)

Then we took a trip outside to the patio at Box and thanks to a hazy cloud cover I had some excellent diffuse light available.

Got it! This was the shot I was happiest with and ended up widely distributed on a Medium article via Jason :)
